Peaceful by Eurwentala Peaceful by Eurwentala
Some of you might remember my sad dragon from a year ago or so. Now she's not sad anymore. :)

I might have gotten a bit carried away with the brushes, but it was fun. Black markers and Photoshop.

I wonder what cheered her up so :)

I've been in a bit of a dragon-mood myself lately, so this is a real treat to see^^ I love the little subtle fur lines, even the wings look fuzzy^^

Simply lovely!

This is actually sort of my mood dragon, a critter I often end up drawing when I need to do something therapeutic. The sad one from a year ago was when I was going through a difficult time. Apparently I needed to draw it again to say I'm fine now.

Oh, I see. Useful to have around. Maybe I should invest in one. Wonder how that'd turn out, since I'm almost always rather hyper and cheerful... might get old reeeeaaaaallll fast :giggle:
Is there a particular species you have in mind while drawing this creature? Or is she more free-lance creativity? (Nothing wrong with the latter, mind you, just curious^^)

Haha, perhaps you could store your mood dragon for the rare moments of not being super cheerful. :D

I'm actually not sure where she came from. I never planned her, she just sort of appeared from my pencil once, a few years ago, and has stuck ever since. Though she does have some connection to Tolkien's drawings of Smaug (mammal ears, for example) and dragons from a couple of fantasy/scifi storylines I tend to play with in my head.

Lol, maybe :giggle:
I was about to say, she does bear some resemblance to Smaug's design - I tend to go for mammalian effects to my dragons as well - I like ears^^
