Description
A brown long-eared bat (Plecotus auritus) being, well, long-eared.
This easily identifiable bat is a skilled, very manouverable though slow flier. It apparently has a better eyesight than most other bats of Northern Europe. And, I suppose, better hearing as well. Those ears have to be there for something. It uses these traits to inspect tree trunks for landed insects, circling in a tight spiral.

Very cool! The details in the ears alone are beautiful. Only thing is, bats don't have opposable thumbs on their feet, and he's missing his calcars. I only mention these picky details as your gallery looks like you're a real master at biology art, and it's often extremely difficult to find a decent visual reference for microbats.
